Were made to feel welcome. the food in the bistro was very nice and well priced. We felt safe in the hotel and the room was quiet and cool. The staff were friendly and will come back again. thanks very much.
The staff, always ready to help. Also the location, it's right by the central station and 30 mins from circular quay (if you walk fast).
Walls and cielings must be pretty thin judging by the noise coming from other rooms. If you have noisy neighbours you might have a sleepless night. We did one night but that wasn't enough to spoil our stay.
Loved the room, meals were great, staff very helpful, excellent location right across from Central Station, at a great price. Would highly recommend and we are returning next week.
The noise from the rooms next and bars near the hotel (on weekends) is clearly audible.
Location was nice close to the railway station. Room was clean and comfortable.
The hotel has also a few bars which can cause some noice to the rooms.
Conveniently close to Central Station
The facilities were not up to a reasonable standard as the refrigerator did not work, the toilet cistern leaked into the bowl, reading light fittings were broken and the wardrobe door hinges were broken.
The location suited our needs and the convenience of the Central railway station being so close was a great advantage.
I found the pillows to be too firm and not having a phone in our room if only to contact staff was at times inconvenient.
Central location, very friendly helpful staff, relaxed
Old fashioned, bit scruffy,no internet access or phone in room
Friendly staff, lovely rooms with antique furniture, easy to find and very close to central train station (which is great for people out of town and who don't know sydney very well)
Very convenient to public transport, shops, and food outlets. Rooms basic but clean, airy and bright. Staff very friendly and helpful
beds a little hard
Central and handy to the railway station. Easy access to airport. Clean and good quality accommodation
The hotel has a quaint old fashioned appeal to me and has been furnished cleanly and comfortably with excellent low cost meals, great kitchen. The bathroom in my room was lovely and clean with plenty of fluffy towels, which I find important in a stay. The locality of the hotel is fantastic, right outside central railway station, ideal to catch a train to the airport or a bus or train to the city. An easy walk to Chinatown and the markets.
The main bar had racing, football tv screens but the music that was playing at the other end of the bar was drowned out by noise
pretty good value for money for the price and location and its a reasonably comfortable place to stay. Location wise its close to Central Station, close to the CBD, and has a good range of restaurants within walking distance.
the bed was tired and sloppy. The room has a street light right outside the window.
Location is ideal as I was attending a school reunion at the hotel. I was able to leave my luggage until I was ready to leave. Friendly helpful staff.
Nice bar set up. Large comfortable room. Good bathroom. Great staff and location. Will be using the hotel again
TV in room was too small and dated
